Welcome to Dunnachie Bearded Collies
We are Jackye Dunn and Kathleen Harold. We breed, raise and train Bearded Collies. That's us in the photo with our dogs, Fiona and McKenna. Located in Tacoma, Washington, we currently live with McKenna, AM/Can Ch Ragtyme Make 'Em Believe ROMI, AX, AXJ, NF, HIC; Sydney Grace, Ch Dunnachie Start the Commotion HIC, Fiona, GCh, Ch Dunnachie Pants On Fire NA, NAJ, Hillary, Ch Dunnachie Don't Get Me Started, Fred, Ch Dunnachie Hearts On Fire and our cat, Sylvia. We said goodbye to Lincoln, Ragtyme Simply Irresistible CD, NA, NAJ. NAP, NJP, HSAsd, HTD1, STD-sd, in March of 2010.

We became interested in Beardies over 20 years ago when Jackye was given a rescue named Misty. The rest is history. Because of Misty, we fell in love with the breed. Since that time, we have always lived with Bearded Collies. Our dogs are cherished family members. They are our joy and our life. Dunnachie dogs have earned American and Canadian championships and they also have herding, agility and obedience titles.
Temperament, health and overall conformation are the things we look at when we breed. We are committed to a breeding program that enhances the breed, adheres to the breed standard and maintains the beardie's natural herding instinct. We feel that breeding is a serious responsibility. Our greatest wish for all puppies is a loving, lasting, forever home.
Most of all, we are committed to having fun with our dogs. We know that this makes them happy and is more important to them than anything else. It lays the foundation for teamwork that is needed for any training and performance activities. We have been members of the Bearded Collie Club of America of America since 1991. As members of the Northwest Bearded Collie Club of Puget Sound, we have assisted with organizing many of the club events including Regional and National Specialties since 1995.

We would like to thank everyone that has helped us with our Beardie endeavors. We are lucky to have some great friends, mentors and trainers. Special thanks to Dixie Rae for creating wonderful relationships in the show ring with our dogs. We would also like to acknowledge our good friends Mary Lott and Linda Perkins. We extend our appreciation breeders Lynn and Vince Zagarella (Ragtyme) who bred our foundation bitch McKenna and Kathy Pavlich (Chantilly), Dr. Debra Thomas (Pentangle) and Sharon and Jeff Ipser (Wigglesworth) who have allowed us to breed to their exceptional stud dogs. The members of the Northwest Bearded Collie Club of Puget Sound have provided tremendous support and resources over the years. Also thanks to all the judges that have recognized the abilities and talents of our Dunnachie Dogs. Finally a very special thank you to all of the owners of the puppies that we have bred.
